Some of our current activity includes:

  • The Health IT Committee has adopted an attribution methodology for our Medicare Advantage population.  Additionally, it has been reviewing some proposed risk stratification models, drill-down capabilities for identifying gaps in patient care, and will shortly be reviewing a provider dashboard.
  • The Primary Care Collaborative Committee will be partnering with colleagues in the Centra Medical Group to focus on primary care initiatives including the development of the Patient Centered Medical Home.
  • The Quality Committee will be reviewing and vetting our first two care management pathways in congestive heart failure and COPD.  It will be reviewing medication utilization, cancer care, and back pain over the next several months.
  • The Governance Committee will be preparing for the upcoming Board election cycle in September.
  • The Contracting Committee recently reviewed the conceptual framework for the Medicare Advantage contract between PCHP and Archetype as well as a sample of an incentive distribution formula for the physician community.
  • The Professional Standards Committee is analogous to the Medical Executive Committee and Peer Review Committee for the Medical Staff and will be reviewing the network credentialing process and will likely endorse en bloc the current organized network as its first members.
